I should have started earlier !
As a late learner of a musical instrument, I decided to take on the Tenor Sax last year and have been taking lessons with Les for about 10 months.Having started with zero knowledge of music, I'm now able to read music, find my way around the keys of the Tenor Sax and play some tunes. I highly recommend Les a tutor of the Saxophone, not just for his taste in music. He has a good balance each lesson of music theory and practical. Les is very encouraging and with his relaxed teaching method the hour lesson certainly flies when your having fun.

Sax from the Beginning
I never thought I’d be able to play the saxophone — honestly, I barely knew which way round to hold it at my first lesson! But thanks to Les, I’m actually playing songs now! His lessons are super fun, really relaxed, and somehow he manages to explain things in a way that actually makes sense (even when I’m squeaking through a note).What I love most is that it doesn’t feel like “school” at all. We laugh a lot, I learn something new every time, and I come away buzzing to keep practicing. If you’ve ever thought about giving the sax a try, don’t wait — Les makes it easy, approachable, and genuinely enjoyable.Highly recommend — especially if, like me, you’re starting from scratch and want to feel like a musician way sooner than you thought possible!
